TRD has the potential to benefit patients across a number of indications including liver surgery, bone marrow transplants, and ulcerative colitis attacks. TRD inhibits 15-prostaglandin dehydrogenase (15-PGDH), a prostaglandin-inhibiting enzyme, and enhances tissue regeneration in various tissue types. TRD is in the preclinical stage of development and the efficacies of each of its indications are being explored in vitro and in vivo by Dr. Markowitz and his team of researchers at CWRU. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze TRD's potential to enhance the standard of care and to navigate the commercial and regulatory landscapes over a variety ofpotential indications. 2014-08-29 English text Case Western Reserve University School of Graduate Studies / OhioLINK http://rave.ohiolink.edu/etdc/view?acc_num=case1402249985 http://rave.ohiolink.edu/etdc/view?acc_num=case1402249985 unrestricted This thesis or dissertation is protected by copyright: all rights reserved.
