Geography Gully Erosion Roadcuts Gullies Erosion This thesis uses field data on multiple gullied and ungullied roadcuts in Athens and Meigs Counties, Ohio, to investigate why gullies are present on some sites but not others and to explore relationships between site-specific landscape characteristics and the extent of gully erosion at different sites. Results show that gullied roadcuts have longer slopes than ungullied roadcuts and that the extent of gully erosion is related to the slope angle, slope length, and soil texture at roadcut sites.
