It is a one dynastic study of literature genre that opens up a new avenue for the study of traditional Taiwanese poems. It widens the scope of literature appreciation in the name of "reality," indicating the appreciation that does not stagnate only at reflection of society. Chapter I explains motive of the study and illustrates methods used and restrictions imposed and forms adopted. Chapter II discusses the begin- ning of Jwi-Jy-Poem since Tang Dynasty and touches upon diversions be- tween Jwi-Jy-Poem and regular poem and entanglements found among its var- ious schools in Ching Dynasty. Chapter III talks about the likely exter- nal causes that have affected Taiwan's Jwi-Jy-Poem in Ching Dynasty. It covers topographical records, special features of Taiwan's social cul- ture, and political system in Ching's Taiwan. Chapter IV begins with the analysis of "Anthology of Jwi-Jy-Poem in Taiwan" by Chen Hsiang. It fur- ther goes into discussion of variety poems in relation with folks poems and Jwi-Jy-Poems. Chapter V analyzes the property of Jwi-Jy-Poem from both the scholar and non-scholar angle. It also examines respectively verses of four lines with seven characters to a line and the concept of comparison that ins- pires. Chapter VI deals with form features and content performance of Taiwan's Jwi-Jy-Poem. In addition, it goes over the connected stanza of an ode and set of odes, poems with self-made footnotes, even and oblique tones in Chinese speech, rhymes, symmetries, and patterns. Chapter VII interprets the derivative "blind spots" in Jwi-Jy-Poem from the theory of evolution and reviews the development of Jwi-Jy-Poem in Taiwan after Ching Dynasty. The final words as contained in Chapter VII define the outlines of this thesis and pinpoint the key gist of each chapter. Li, Rui-Teng 李瑞騰 學位論文 ; thesis 0 zh-TW
