Their molecular weights are about 15,000 as estimated by SDS-polyactylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS- PAGE). Both of them decreased the percentage of motile spermato- zoa in a dose-dependent manner. The inhibitory effect can beolished by addition of the porcine follicular fluid. Both SMI1 and SMI2 have similar amino acid composition, suggesting that they may be structurally related. They also have noncompetitive inhibitory effect on chymotrypsin with the Ki aroune 0.1 uM. And since the FITC-labeled SMI1 and SMI2 binded to the flagellum ofe active sperm, we might say that the functional receptor sites is on the flagellum. Keh-Min Liu 劉克明 1993 學位論文 ; thesis 75 zh-TW |
