Influences of temperature and density on biology and population parameters of Oligonychus coffeae (Nietner)(Acari: Tetranychidae)

碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 昆蟲學系 === 81 === Oligonychus coffeae (Nietner) was reared with the leaves of Camellia sinensis var. TTES-12 at 15, 20, 25, and 30℃ constant temperatures at 75?% RH and 13L:11D in the growth chambers. The durations of develo...

TTES-12 at 15, 20, 25, and 30℃ constant temperatures at 75?% RH and 13L:11D in the growth chambers. The durations of developmental stages were decreased with rearing temperature increase. The mortality of developmental stages were higest at 15℃. Low developmental threshold and thermal constant for female to develop and to moult into adult were 12.57℃ and 143.82 degree-day,respectively, while those for male are 12.55℃ and 142.15 degree-day, respectively. At 25℃ female densities and sizes of leaf disc significantly influence the daily egg reproductivity, while sizes had greater influence than the densities. Positive effects of female densities to its oviposition periods were observed, while negative relation was found with its female fecundities. From influences of the female densities and sizes of leaf disc on female reproductivity and living cohorts of mites in the rearing arena, the maximum mite load of a unit (cm) leaf disc was estimated as 130 mite-day with daily reproductive rate of 1.9 eggs/♀/day.
