Summary:碩士 === 國立體育學院 === 運動科學研究所 === 81 === The purpose of the study is to investigate the changes of blood biochemical parameters, such as lactic acid, blood glucose ,in athletes conditioned for endurance, based on the three blood tests taken BEFORE and AFTER carbohydate beverage intake, and AFTER COMPETITION. The subjects are twelve (N=12) healthy male middle-long distance athletes (age 20.38 .plmin. 3.37 year). Each subject attends three road races. Before each race the subjects were given carbohyrate beverage and water. All the twelve athletes were randomly divided into three groups, with four athletes in each group. Each group were treated with three beverages 300 ml athernately before three competition. The three beverages were water, Maltodextrin (12%), and Nutri- Powder .blksq. (12%), respectively. The three sports competition of beverages were presented in counter balanced design. The blood samples were taken from the viens of the subjects before intake, 45 minutes after intake, and 5 minutes after competition. 1).The Blood glucose and lactic acid concentration: The Maltodextrin-intake groups have higher values in blood glucose and lactic acid concentration levels than the other two groups. The values analyzed from before-, after-intake and after-competition blood samples are significantly different (p<0.05). Also moreover, the values among the three group are significantly different(p<0.05). 2).Body weight: Three groups all show signicant decrease in after-competition (p<.05). The changes among the three groups do not show significant difference (p>.05). 3).The competition mean (m/sec) of the running speed: Maltodextrin-group > Nutri- Powder .blksq. > Water-group. The results of this study, Maltodextrin intake before compet- ition can increase and maintain blood glucose values, physical performance. And the intake of Maltodextrin and Nutri-Powder can produce more lactic acid. So,they are good for the anaenobic power energy supply. Futher more, they are no obstacle for the water absorption.
