Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 81 === A research on simultaneous color contrast is proceeded. Simultaneous color contrast is an important visual phenomenon for human beings. It is a phenomenon of spatially chromatic adaptation as compared to temporal chromatic adaptation. They are all with the same responsing tendency of color appearance, so von Kries adaptation rule for temporal chromatic adaptation can be applied to simultaneous color contrast too. The color appearance of simultaneous color contrast will be influenced by varying the spatial configurations of testing and adapting sti- mulus. After our experiments and analyses, we conclude that the stimulated cone number ratio of adapting stimulus to testing stimulus and the distance between the two stimuli are the two major global factors on the degree of adaptation. Physiological evidences are also existed for the two factors. Furthermore, we formulate a function based on the above two factors to quantize the degree of adaptation for any spatial configurations of stimuli. We achieve good simulation results. This thesis combines the experiments on color perception and analyses in color appearance model. It provides a good way on quantizing the color perception of human beings.
