Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 81 === In construction industry, contract awarding is one of the most important parts of project life cycle in contractors'''' and owners'''' point of view. So contract awarding is a hot issue in the field of Construction Engineering and Management. In the past fifty years, there had been many theories on competitive bidding, but due to their analytical structure, few construction companies used these model in their daily work. The award of a contract is not decided by a single company, instead, it''''s an interdeterminative situation. That means a contractor cannot get the contract when it doesn''''t offers the lowest price among competition. The Contract awarding is a typical Strategy Game. The last decade, the Game Theory had great improvement in noncooperative asymmetric game. It allows us to explain the contract awarding better. This study applies Game Theory to develop a systematic explanation about the behavior of contract awarding. It is aimed to establish a foundation for emperical research and to provide a direction for contractors'''' and owners'''' strategy of contract awarding. This study conducts literature review at first, and then chooses the methods of contract awarding based on R.O.C.''''s regulation of construction. Next, the study analyze different players and information structures of these methods. And then this study applies Game Theory to develop the equilibrium of these methods in every information structure, to compare these solutions with case studies. The discussion with personnel of contract awarding will be proceed, and finally conclusion will be suggested.
