There is also a comparative study of the two suppliers and multiple sourcing systems with that of the single supplier purchasing system, situations that these systems are suitable are studied and outlined. It is intended to expand the theory of purchasing into the topic of the dual sourcing system.
In this study, differences among the single, the dual and the multiple sourcing systems are studied. Attention if centered on the practice of the dual and multiple sourcing systems as well.
A small survey was conducted and the findings from the survey are outlined in this study. Reasons that the dual sourcing and the multiple sourcing systems are employed range from reducing shortage costs to ensuring supply of resources. These reasons are studied and outlined. The result of the survey are self explanatory and consistent with these reasons as shown in most articles.
