碩士 === 國立臺灣科技大學 === 營建工程技術學系 === 81 === The "Industrial Automation Plan of the R.o.c, 1991-2000" implemented by the Building Research Institude (BRI)is an important technological plan. It is also a key factor of promoting the construction industry. The study attempts to review the characteristics of construction industrial auto- mation and the the theories of effectiveness evaluation in to collect the related information. On the other way, ac- cording to some research results, sponsored by the Science and Technology Advisory Group and the BRI, an objective pre- formance indicator is to be established for evaluating the overall effectiveness of the plan implementation. The study then performs preliminary investigations of the input dimen- sion and the benefit dimension of construction industrial automation. Based on the investigation results and the de- veloped indicator, the overall effectiveness of the plan im- plementation may be evaluated. It can be a good way to un- derstand the effectiveness of the plan implementation in the current stage and also to provide a guideline for the plan implementation in the following stages.
