On-line help system is one of the good ways to do these. However, most of the current using on-line help systems are designed with system-centred concepts not with user-centred. As a result, many on-line aiding dialogues fall far short of the ultimate goal of helping users with their problems. In this paper , eight characteristic criteria and thirty subcriteria of on-line help system and their advantages and disadvantages are found after surveyed more than twenty computer software systems. Then, using Analytic Hierarchy Process to study what kinds of criteria and subcriteria have more influence in friendliness.
