Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 歐洲研究所 === 81 === Since Single Market was united in 1992, the Community has been scheming Economic and Monetary Union and Political Union. At the same time, the FRG and the GDR were united in October 3, 1990, which makes the Community become variable: on one hand, the Community should offer a concrete measure to deal with the problems brought on by the GDR''s joining the Community; on the other hand, the process and the result of German Unification bring a great impulse towards the development of the Community Integration. The essay is based on the abovementioned perception, researching into the two major currents in Europe during the 90''s:the Political and Economic Integration of the Community and the German Unification. The content includes 4 major points: First, the Community''s Integration development in nowadays. Second, the relations between the German and the Community. Third, German Unification''s impulse towards the Community. Fourth, the Community''s concrete measures to deal with German Unification. According to the essay, the influences of German Unification towards the Community''s Ploitical and Economic Integration have both advantages and disadvantages. On one hand, German Unification will produce these problems: retarding the economic development of the Community, increasing unemployment rates, disorder of currency system, expenditure exceeding income, worsened inflation, the maintenance of balanced power relationships inside the Community. On the other hand, German Unification, however, is helpful in improving the unequivalent trade between its members and offers an oppotunity to strengthen the economic relations with the GDR. Accordingly, the new united German will become one of the major nations, leading the Community''s Political and Economic Integration developmint.
