Description
Summary:碩士 === 元智大學 === 電機與資訊工程研究所 === 81 === ome of ancient Chinese books contain a lot of commentaries formed a large hypertext networks which are very different from those networks formed by dictionaries, encyclopaedias, and textbooks. The purpose of this thesis is to develop a mechanism to represent the hypertext of ancient Chinese books in database, and to design a system to convert these books automatically to hypertext. In the thesis, we first analyze the characteristics of the hypertext of ancient Chinese books to correctly represent this hypertext. The characteristics include the structures of these books, the hypergraph abstract model, the navigation features, and the overlap of hyperlinks. After the analysis, we use the object-oriented data model to represent this hypertext in database and apply SGML to markup the ancient Chinese books so that the conversion from text to hypertext is made possible. Finally, we develop a converter to convert ancient Chinese books to hypertext. To verify the feasibility of the above methodology, we apply the above method to a Chinese books Shang-shu. The result shows that the method does very satisfactory in converting ancient Chinese books to hypertext on the assumption that the different commentary books are based on the same common text. The contributions of this thesis include: (1) providing a good environment for the experts of the ancient Chinese books so that they can reduce the efforts for collecting data and spend more time in doing creative works, (2) purposing the hypertext characteristics for the ancient Chinese books, (3) purposing the data structure for the hypertext of the ancient Chinese books and a method for automatically conversion from text to hypertext.
