Description
Summary:碩士 === 中原大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 82 === The present study is concerned with the geometrically and material nonlinear behavior of thin - walled beam structures. A finite element procedure is set up in the study for the elasto - plastic large displacement analysis of thin - walled beam strutures. Both closed and open cross sections of thin - walled beam are considered. The warping effect is neglected. An incremental - iterative method is employed for solving the nonlinear system equation. For tracing the whole nonlinear load - deflection curve the generalized displacement control method (GDC) is used. Both the finite element model and the finite segment model are used in the derivation of the elasto - plastic beam stiffness matrices. Parameter studies are carried out and the influences of the kind of elements, number of elements, integral methods and integral points on the responses of beam structures are examined. The accuracy of the proposed procedure for elasto - plastic large displacement analysis of thin - walled beam structures is demonstrated througn various numerical examples. The numerical results show that the results of nonlinear analysis will be strongly influenced by the number of elements and the kind of elements used.
