Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 海洋地質研究所 === 82 === The suspended particulate organic matter in surface sea-water
was measured at 19 stations in the Sea of Japan, 42 stations in
the East China Sea, 7 stations North of Taiwan and 6 stations
in the Philippine Sea and The Bashi Channel. Particulate
organic carbon,particulate organic hydrogen, particulate
organic oxygen, particulate phosphorus and total organic matter
concentrations were determined in the Sea of Japan and the East
China Sea. These parameters except particulate phosphorus and
total organic matter were determined in the area North of
Taiwan. The concerntrations ofparticulate organic carbon、
particulate organic nitrogen、particulate organic sulfur and
particulate organic oxygen were determined in the Philippine
Sea and the Bashi Channel. In the Sea of Japan organic
components did not show much variation. In the East China Sea
high concerntrations of SPM and other organic components were
found near Yantze River (maximum of particulate organic carbon
22.6μmol/L and maximum of particulate organic nitrogen 2.91μ
mol/L at station 35). In the area North of Taiwan, except for
stations 11 and 18 where higher particulate organic carbon
concentrations (13.57 and 11.43μmol/L)were found, other
organic components did not show much variation. In the
Philippine Sea and the Bashi Channel, all stations B2 and B4
were in the open ocean. The effect of terrestrial input was
not obvious, resulting in lower particulate organic carbon and
particulate organic nitrogen concentrations (particulate
organic carbon 1.09∼1.88μmol/L, particulte organic nitrogen
0.11∼0.26μmol/L). The average molar ratis for all samples
were C:H:N:S:O:P=8.2:17.0:1.0:0.2:8.1:0.2.
