碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 國際貿易學系 === 82 === The main purpose of this study is to understand the change of competitive advantage of Taiwanese industries. The strategies to adapt these changes are also concluded. By interviewing with 31 general managers of leading firms with good exporting performance in different industries, we have the understandings as follows: 1.The exporting peaks are grouped as four stages:"1970''s and 1980''s","1986-1989","1990-1992",and "1993-1994". 2.Based on the Porter''s "Diamond Model",this study concludes that "Government" and human resources in "Factor conditions" change most,and "Related and supporting Industries" changes least. 3.The Strategies to adapt these chages can be classified as "upgrading strategy" and "non-upgrading strategy"; the former including technical upgrading of prodution and that of management,the latter including moving-out prodution and moving-in foreign labors. 4.Most of the moving-out machenism is the low value-added prodution. The R&D, finance, marketing, and high value-added prodution are stayed in Taiwan.
