Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 植物病蟲害學系 === 82 === In the mating climax time two-day-old male of the smaller tea tortrix moth (Adoxophyes sp.), response to synthetic sex pheromone in various distance was observed. Ten males moth were placed in the insect cage, males began to walk when it's distance reach to 80 meters; intermittenly walked and flight at the dis- tance of 65 meters; the males vibrated wings violently and re- volved as soon as it approached to the sex pheromone source. The distance of behavior of males response to synthetic sex phe- romone extent from 80 to 5 meters. The response behavior of males had no obvious difference. The males response in the velocity of wind from 0.07 to 1.63 m/sec, there were no response if the ve- locity of wind above 1.7m/sec. In 1st, 2nd and 3rd times mark- release recapture test the re-captured rate is 13.7, 6.3 and 8.5% ; Number of captured wild males is 14, 20 and 17. Number of ave- rage recaptured at the 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 meters was 3.0, 7.3, 7.7, 3.0 and 4.7 males. The most recaptured rate was the distance of 30 meters, the second was 20 meters and the distance of 50 meters was the farthest distance one night. The more freguency of wind direction in East, South, West and North, the highter recaptured males number. During one year the male mass-trapping showed the climax in spring and summer, the captured numbers were lower in autumn and winter. The precipitation affected the male captured number more than the temperature. In the tethered female method test, when 81 virgin females released, the female mating rate was 19.3 % and 21.4 % in the treated and checked area. The average number of eggs for a mated female was 194.1 and 282.3; the egg hatching rate was 79.3 % and 80.0%. The result was that it de- cresaed 38.5% generation number. The mating rate for 50 pairs adult was 65.3 % in treated area which was lower than checked area was 67.3 % in one night. It means that the sex pheromone odor in treated area didn't disturb the male moths mated in the cage.
