Since it is difficult to the seepage point, the problem is analyzed theoretically appropriate boundary condition and then the free surface estimated using Boussinesq equation. By simplifying the conditions in soil layers, the amount of seepage is calculated one- dimensional assumption. Theoretical and labortary study performed to analyze this problem. A sandbox experiment has conducted. The variation of head is measured at 48 measurement using manometer. Dye tracer is introduced to observe the and seepage point. Then the seepage flow equations are sectionally by one-dimensional assumption. Results show that possible to calculate the amount of seepage using assumption for the case of one or two layer aquifer system will have significant errors for three-layers soils.
