Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 土木工程研究所 === 82 === Prominent among the wind-induced problems of the Cable-Stayed Bridges have been flutter and buffeting, so the aerodynamic effects and critical wind velocity for the Cable-Stayed Bridges due to wind loads will be treated in this research. The main purpose of this research is to present an empirically based analysis method to predict the structural behavior of the bridges which have not been tested in the wind tunnel. The equations of motions in drag, lift, and torsional directions are assumed to be uncoupled in the formulation. The aerodynamic parameters used in the analysis are adopted from the past wind tunnel tests. The structural model consists of beam elements and cable elements which are used to model the deck, tower and cables of the bridge. A parametric analysis is performed to study the variations of the structural behavior due to the changes of wind velocities and mechanical damping ratios. The contributions of the models in each direction to the structural response are also discussed.
