A finite element model, including flat facet shell elements, link elements, and tendon elements, is used to model the concrete section, the key joints, and the external tendons of the segmental bridge. The dynamic loading is simulated by a HS20-44 truck moving along the bridge. The Newmark .beta. scheme is used for the numerical analysis. The example is a three-span bridge with external prestressing. The variations of the displacements, prestressing forces, and the crack widths due to different loadings are presented. The cracking load and the ultimate strength of the bridge are also discussed. Yuh-Yi Lin 林堉溢 1994 學位論文 ; thesis 114 zh-TW
