碩士 === 淡江大學 === 水資源及環境工程所 === 82 === Based upon the Renolds equation of motion and the continuity equation, the method of SMAC was utilized to simulate a free overfall flow. The friction factor is used to modified the eddy viscosity as proposed by Fischer(1975) and Chen(1993). The initial Froude number was equal to 0.7 approximately, velocity and pressure values were computed, the relation of brink and critical depth, energy dissipation at the base were discussed. Numerical results were compared with those obtained preiously, and it is found that they are in good agreement.
