Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 水資源及環境工程所 === 82 === In this study , a commercial Kaolin Clay and Lignin are selected to make synthetic raw waters. PAC is added into rapid mixing step and coagulate with the coagulant of Polyaluminum Chloride (PACl) to generate synthetic sludges. Parameters of polymer dosage and PAC dosage are involved to investigate the dewatering characteristics and coefficients of compressibility of PAC-laden sludges. Also the relation between specific resistance and CST is studied. Total solids increase with the increasing of PAC dosages. The dewatering characterictics become worse with the increasing of PACl dosages. There is a good result of conditioning when the polymerdosage is 0.11%TS. In general, the specific resistances of water treatment plant sludges are 5×10e11∼5 ×10e12 (m/kg). When the PAC dosages vary from 0mg/L to 50mg/L, then specific resistances of synthetic sludges decrease from 10×10e11 to 6×10e11(m/kg). It shows that PAC-laden sludges have better dewatering characteris- tics than that of water treatment plant sludges. The coefficients of compressibility decrease with the increasing of PAC dosage. The coefficient of compressibility of synthetic sludges is 0.76, wlile it becomes 0.62 when the PAC dosage is 75 mg/L. It implies that the more PAC dosages added, PAC-laden sludges become more difficult to compress. The relation between specific resistance and CST is as follow : specificresistance = 0.34+0.087CST(R-squared=0.97)
