Many works have been made of bubble formation from a submerged single orifice in a liquid, and it is known that the gas chamber volume beneath the orifice exerts considerable influence on the bubble volume.Previous experimental and theo- retical works may be classified into three bubble formation conditions; (constant flow, constant pressure and the interme- diate condition). In constant-flow rate regions, the experimental datas of SDS and DTMAC are predicted well by Ruff model (1972) which is considered the equilibrium surface tension, but Triton X-100 is not. However, the experimental datas of SDS and Triton X-100 are predicted not well by modified Ruff model that is considered the dynamic surface tension besides 2884ppm SDS.In intermediate flow rate regions, the experimental datas of SDS and Triton X-100 are predicted not well by Tsuge and Hibino model(1978) which is considered the equilibrium surface tension. in many physical and chemical processes in order to bring about
efficient mass transfer and heat transfer between two phase.
Many works have been made of bubble formation from a submerged
single orifice in a liquid, and it is known that the gas
chamber volume beneath the orifice exerts considerable
influence on the bubble volume.Previous experimental and theo-
retical works may be classified into three bubble formation
conditions; (constant flow, constant pressure and the interme-
diate condition). Aqueous surfactant solutions of SDS,DTMAC and
Triton X-100 for bubble growth are studied in this paper. It
appears that the surface tension effects are large at low flow
rates and conti- nuously diminish as the flow rate is increased
for the constant flow rate. In constant-flow rate regions, the
experimental datas of SDS and DTMAC are predicted well by Ruff
model (1972) which is considered the equilibrium surface
tension,but Triton X-100 is not.However,the experimental datas
of SDS and Triton X-100 are predicted not well by modified Ruff
model that is considered the dynamic surface tension besides
2884ppm SDS.In intermediate flow rate regions, the experimental
datas of SDS and Triton X-100 are predicted not well by Tsuge
and Hibino model(1978) which is considered the equilibrium
surface tension.
