The involved techniques include interlaced to progressive conversion(IPC), sampling rate conversion(SRC), line rate conversion(LRC), frame rate conversion(FRC) and aspect ratio conversion. The conversion algorithms utilized blockwise, motion detection, edge-preserving interpolation, and nonuniform aspect ratio conversion. The distortions and fatness of the picture by traditional conversion methods can be perceptually diminished. The simulation results show a very good quality by visual perception without any undesirable artifacts in the converted image sequences.
