the machining model presented in this thesis accounts for the
important material behaviors such as strain hardeni- ng, strain
rate hardening,and temperature softening.Maching processes
involve high strain,strain rate,and temperature. Under theses
circumstances, the influence of strain on stre- ss decreases.
Thus, the strain hardening effect is often ne- glected.By
comparison,the effect of strain hardening on mac- hining
processes is studied.The effect of cutting speeds on the
machining processes is also studied.
