Subjects had the most positive attitude on the "bodyand illness".That means that subjects generally tend to believe proper self-care can help in controlling disease.Subjects also performed positive self-care behavior on their "body and illness".However, subjects seldom communicated with their family which led to their poor adjustment in mental health. Resoult also showed that those who were heterosexual andthose who had moresigns and symptoms of AIDS had higher intensity of worry.Thosewho perceived poor health had lowest satisfaction on their knowledge.Resoult showed that subjects inthe experimental grouphad significantly more knowledge of self-care,satisfaction of their knowledge, possitive attitudes, behaviors, and less worries, after they received this self-care healthteaching program had obviously positive effects on subje- cts''s worries, needs and satisfaction of knowledge of self-care, cognition of self-care knowledge, and self-care attitude and behavior.
