Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 日本研究所 === 83 === "The Declining Sun" is the latter term's work of Japanese author Dazai Osamu. This work describes ruined sadness of the nobility after World War II. With two themes of "Destruction" and "Revorlution", Dazai intended to burning out his life. Through the introduction of this work's consist and social environment, and compose model of Oda Shizuko's diary, plus the influence of Russian author Chekhov. Secondly, four heros "Kazuko's mother""Kazuko""Naoharu" "Uehara Jiro", which composed Dazai's personality. Finally, analyzes these issues of "The Declining Sun", included her special features, and influence of Dazai's family, this work also brings a determination of Dazai's suicide. Dazai Osamu was an unfortunate author in Japan, who had never got peace in his whole life. Through "The Declining Sun", Dazai had told people the original problem of inside wrold. Like a mirror which offers chances to reconsidering the relationship between humanbeings and their world.
