The experimental influent was typical municipal wastewater with the flow of 62.5L/h and 130% nitrified recycle,50% return sludge to probe the efficiencies and characteristics of simultaneous carbon, nitrogen and phosphorus removal,the optimum operation condition and experience. According to the experimental results and discussion,the influenced characteristics of nitrification, denitrification,phosphorus release and uptake for biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal efficiencies shows the conclusions as fllow: 1)BOD was treated below 3mg/L with average removal efficiency of 98% achieved,TN 10mg/L with removal efficiencies in 60-80% and TP 1mg/L with removal efficiencies in 70-90%. 2)At water temperature of 20-27℃,the higher temperature obtained the increasing trend of nitrification rate constant(Kn), denitrification rate constant( Kdn),phosphorus release rate constant(Kpr) and phosphorus uptake rate constant(Kpu). These constants and temperature(T) can be expressed by flowing formula respectively: Kn(mgN/gMLSS/ h)=0.064exp(0.108T);Kdn(mgN/gMLSS/h) =0.001exp(0.257T);Kpr(mgP/ gMLSS/h)=0.011exp(0.111T);Kpu (LP/gMLSS/h)=0.016exp(0.121T). 3)The phosphorus content of waste sludge had to exceed 3-4% for better phosphorus removal effect. 4)For combined nitrogen and phosphorus removal,F/M ratio and SRT should be controlled between 0.06-0.12kgBOD/kgMLSS/d and 12-20 days, TP and TN removal efficiencies were above 70% and 60% respectively can be obtained.
