碩士 === 淡江大學 === 歐洲研究所 === 83 === The considerable change in Eastern Europe in 1989 is the tranformation from socialist system to democratic one and from planned economy to market economy.　The main emphasis of the thesis is on the transformation of conomic system in Czech Republic and the effects of the economic reform which provides a example for the rest socialit countries. By this thesis, it is helpful to promoteour understanding to Eastern Europe. 　　　　The findings in this thesis show as the following: First, the procedure of the economic transformation in Czech Repulbic is more moderate than other Eastern European countries. Themethods are to maintain the low unemployment,low inflation andlow amount of debts. @　 Second, the good structure and well development of heavy industry help Czech Republic develop his economy.Third, the privatization is the most important method in the economic reform. The privatization favors thethird sector''s development. The tourism also brings a lot of hard currency and produces considerable opportunities ofjobs. @　 Fourth, political stability leads to a prosper economic development. @　Although Czech Republic has a stable economic 　developmentin the transformation from planned economy to market economy, there are also a lot of problems faced to them. The futuredevelopment is the further economic reform in domestic affairs and the cooperation with the Western European countries.
