Description
Summary:碩士 === 中國醫藥學院 === 中國藥學研究所 === 84 === Wogonin, an active constituent isolated from the root of Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi (Woogon), a frequently use herb in China, possesses antiinflammatory, antispasmodic and lipid- lowering effect. In this study, the pharmacokinetics and bioavailability of wogonin in rabbits were evaluated.A simple high-performance liquid chromatographic method was self- developed for the determination of wogonin in plasma samples. The pharmacokinetics of wogonin in the rabbits after intravenous bolus administration of various doses (2,10 or 30 mg/kg) were well described by a two compartment model. The mean biological half-lives was about 80 mins. The results also indicated that the pharmacokinetics of wogonin after I.V. administration are linear over the 2~30 mg/kg dose range. The bioavailability of wogonin in rabbits after I.M. administered of 30 mg/kg dose was 50.9%. However, after oral administered 200 mg/kg dose of same preparation, the bioavailability was only about 1.4%, indicated that wogonin was pooly absorbed from the GI tract in rabbits.
