碩士 === 大葉工學院 === 資訊管理研究所 === 84 === In addition to manage change within so-called 3C (ie. computer, communication, and consumer products) marketplace, the means of decision making to executives are in the middle of transformation. Most top managers seek for better management information to respond competition in a more effective, efficient and innovative way, executive information system(EIS) is capable to provide such service.From system perspective, it is vital to define the user's information requirements during the early stage of building EIS. Regardless of literature's discussed, there is still no clear connections in-between EIS information classification, access methods, and information quality.This study aims to empirically investigate the current state of EIS based on Taiwan users. The results reveal the following findings to EIS:(1) State of the art in Taiwan;(2) Critical determinants to develop EIS;(3) Data viewing is the frequent used method to obtain information requirements;(4) Most demand on timely and sensing information;(5) Each information classification requires suited accessing method.
