Broad peak near 10 K begins to prevail after the sample is annealed at 500Cor 800C ,but the nanoparticles of ball milling and as prepared lead to almost complete disappearance of the low temperature ordering . Such observations canbe understood through the relative distribution of Fe3+ ions between two noneq-uivalent sites in the spinel type lattice . Meanwhile , the lattice heat capac-ity is enhanced due to the size and surface effect . The specific heat measurements of superconductor (LaxTh1-x)NiC2 show a var-iation of Tc with the different ratio of thorium .
