Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工業設計學系 === 84 === Product design is an activity that relies heavily on human experience, thought and knowledge. Many manufacturing and assembly problems can properly be attributed to poor product design. Greater attention is being placed on the critical role that sound product design can play in securing competitive advantages in product quality and production efficiency. However, because each designer has his or her own subjective opinion, traditional design decision is made under a blackbox design process. Fortunately, the technologyof computer-aided design has been improved significantly, designers can therefore choose a suitable computer hardware and software system in design. In order to assist designers to use computer effectively, the objective ofthe research will try to integrate computer graphics and form rules in the generation of design alternatives. Based on the research are (1)establishmentof product structure and identification of primary component forms, (2)Integration of graphics and characteristics for building form design rules,(3)Interface form rules and computer graphics techniques for graphic representation,(4)with "Cup Design" as a case study. It is expected that the research efforts will help designers generate many feasible design alternativesat the stage of idea innovation more effectively and efficiently.
