Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 航空太空工程學系 === 84 === In the resin transfer molding (RTM) process , the fiber preform can be made in either 2-D or 3-D forms . In order to reduce the cost of production, 2-D fiber proform is preferred whenever it is adequate . For a stiffened panel made of 2-D fiber preform , delamination usually occurs in the joint of the stiffener to the panel as subjected to impact , and propagates rapidly to the rest of areas . This study is to investigate the effect of the through thickness Kevlar fiber stitching of the fiber preforms on the integrity of the stiffened panel . Several type of stitching patterns were tested to evaluate their influences . It is concluded that through thickness fiber stitching could provide better resistance to crack propagation as subjected to impact and have higher toughness .
