Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 84 === The thesis presents the analyzed results of the employment of thyristor-controlled series capacitors (TCSC) for damping enhancement of subsynchronous torsional interactions of a power system containing series-capacitor compensation. The studied power system consists of two sets of nonidentical turbine- generators connected to an infinite bus through a common series- capacitor compensated line. A set of TCSC model is proposed to properly connected in parallel with part of the series capacitors of the transmission line. A unified approach based on modal control theory is utilized to design damping controllers which employ shaft speed deviation of studied generators as stabilizing signals. Frequency-domain approach based on a linearized model and eigenvalue analysis such as variations of controller's parameters and changes of loading conditions is performed. Time-domain approach based on nonlinear model simulation under torque disturbances and a three-phase fault is also carried out. In addition, the sinusoidal variations of the infinite bus terminal voltage to simulate actually loading cyclic variations are also investigated. The simulation results show that the proposed TCSC can effectively stabilize subsynchronous torsional oscillations.
