A HDTV system must include many features, such as high resolution, wide screen, high fidelity, and digital transmission. In order to compatible with the format of NTSC. The interpolation rocessing plays an important role during the conversion from the NTSC to HDTV system. However, if the processing images contain a lot of impulse noise, the interpolation will result in a blurring image. In this thesis, we focus on the processing of impulse of impulse noise of television images. To reach the real time a novel architecture which combing noise detection and noise filtering is proposed.
