A generalized software to visualize the behavior of a flight simulator through cockpit instruments are designed and developed. The thesis uses two programming languages, LabVIEW and C language running on Windows operating system and DOS system, respectively, to simulate aircraft instruments which include airspeed indicator, Machmeter, altimeter, rate of climb indicator, attitude director indicator(ADI), and horizontal situation indicator(HSI) and control panel of an airplane. We also apply the animation technology and mouse function to raise its reality and interactive ability. Moreover, the flight instrument software is also integrated with navigation system data, air-data computer system data, and aircraft database to achieve flight simulation function.
