can be presented as a multicast tree. Because mobiles can move
between base stations, connection paths will grow longer
gradually, and thus this multicast tree may contain some
inefficient or redundant paths. Eliminate those inefficient or
redundant paths will reduce the bandwidth used and increase the
bandwidth utilization. In this thesis, a multicast tree
migration scheme is presented. A routing table is designed in
each node for finding multicast paths and a path table for
recording the multicast tree. The numerical simulations are
given to compare the proposed scheme with existing multicast
routing algorithms.
