information that the enterprises face is increasing. Office
automation is getting more and more important for running
business efficiently. Recently,the Web is very popular, so we
can develop office automation by using the Web. We propose a
web-based office automation development environment, this
provides a new approach for the enterprises to create office
related applications on the Internet. In this paper, we first
find out the functions needed in modern office automation, then
propose a web-based office automation development environment
for the implementation. By applying the development
environment, we have designed a personal electronic calendar
and a group scheduler which are widely used in the office
environment. The main contributions of this paper include: (1)a
proposed web- based office automation development environment,
(2)a personal electronic calendar and a group scheduler have
been designed on the Web by using the proposed method.
