Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 航運技術研究所 === 84 === Sea clutter severely interferes with the observation of marine radar or coast-based radar.Subsequently,it will affect the safety of ships in navigation and the vessel traffic surveillance. The detection of small target in the sea clutter is a problem to beresolved.Sea clutter has been considered as a kind of stochasticprocesses for several decades.Recently,in the light of chaoticdynamic systems and Fractional Brownian Motion (FBM),sea clutter is treated as a deterministic system with chaotic properties ora FBM model with fractal characteristics. In this thesis,we analyze the acquired radar images and proposean algorithm for target detection in the sea clutter environmentwith short data length. The proposed system consists of two stages. In the first stage,a target detector with low probability of missis designed while high probability of false alarm is suffered.Utilizing the characteristics of FBM and wavelet transform, the detection performance can be improved the significantly in thesecond stage.
