Summary:碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 造船工程學系 === 84 === The purpose of this thesis is to measure the effective wake by Laser Doppler Velocimeter (LDV) induced by a highly- skewed propeller in rotation.For consideration of the blockage effect in the NTOU middle cavitation tunnel, mounting a model ship in it will result in a serious blockage effect.Therefore,a dummy model ship was instend employed in the experiment.The axial component of the nomial wake was simulated,the ship data obtained in a towing tank and we used titanium oxide(TiO2) as the seeding in this experiment. The inflow velocities around different propeller radii were measured at many points on the cross- section 3.625 cm upstream the propeller centerline.The effective wake distribution was obtained from the measured data and compared with those computed by PUF 3A developed by MIT. In addition,the periodicity of the flow is quite clear from 0.4R to 0.8R.
