Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立海洋大學 === 機械與輪機工程學系 === 84 === In this thesis, a new finite element approach, called streamline-upwind/Petrov-Galerkin(SUPG), was introduced to simulate some specifiedfluid flow problem governed by Navier- Stokes equations. The basis ofthe formulation was the streamline upwind concept. Frist, the above approach was examined by the example of two-dimensional steady state driven cavity flow. In this case, the mesh was rough such thatthe needs of CPU time and memory space were lower, the results of numericalsimulation were well compared with other numerical results which were available in the literatures. Secondly, for the transient problems, the example of uniform flow past a cylinder was introduced to simulate the problem of vortex street at Reynolds numer of 100. Then the wiggles on the upstream of shape gradientat a high Reynolds number was examined by the case of step channel.
