In the field of time relation plays an important role. Therefore, how to control time relation of media is the focus of this Thesis. In the past, there are many temporal models proposed for which are Enhanced Temporal Model, CMIFed, Timeline, Petri-Net, Firefly, Intercal-based approach, and Relation grammars. Timeline model, based on graph and visualization, is the most simple one; nontechnique people can use it to model a multimedia scenario But Timeline model is not flexible to handle indeterministic Later in 1995, Hirzalla et al. proposed a novel temporal model, Enhanced Temporal Model (ETM), which can handle the events but the complexity of ETM is higher than the Timeline Therefore, we will propose a Refined Temporal Model (RTM), which the simple feature of Timeline model and has the power of an ETM. For example, RTM reduces the media types of ETM from seven to (1) synchronous-start and synchronous-end event, (2)rt and asynchronous-end event, and (3) synchronous-start and end event with maximum end-time constraint. Users can use these basic model types to model the scenario that they want to have. In order to implement our RTM system, we need a data structure Because our RTM is mainly used as a notation for authoring, the structure used in the Amsterdam Hypermedia Model (AHM) will be candidate. As a result, our RTM system is composed of three basic structures: atomic component, composite component, and Our RTM system is built using Object-Oriented (OO) programming Delphi. In recently years, OO techniques have been involved in multimedia, because of their many concepts, such as modularity, extensibility, and software legacy. Chen, Sao-Jie 陳少傑 學位論文 ; thesis 63 zh-TW |

碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 電機工程研究所 === 84 === Since the creation of Multimedia and Object-Oriented (OO) many
novel techniques have been proposed. In the field of time
relation plays an important role. Therefore, how to control
time relation of media is the focus of this Thesis. In the
past, there are many temporal models proposed for which are
Enhanced Temporal Model, CMIFed, Timeline, Petri-Net, Firefly,
Intercal-based approach, and Relation grammars. Timeline model,
based on graph and visualization, is the most simple one;
nontechnique people can use it to model a multimedia scenario
But Timeline model is not flexible to handle indeterministic
Later in 1995, Hirzalla et al. proposed a novel temporal model,
Enhanced Temporal Model (ETM), which can handle the events but
the complexity of ETM is higher than the Timeline Therefore, we
will propose a Refined Temporal Model (RTM), which the simple
feature of Timeline model and has the power of an ETM. For
example, RTM reduces the media types of ETM from seven to (1)
synchronous-start and synchronous-end event, (2)rt and
asynchronous-end event, and (3) synchronous-start and end event
with maximum end-time constraint. Users can use these basic
model types to model the scenario that they want to have. In
order to implement our RTM system, we need a data structure
Because our RTM is mainly used as a notation for authoring, the
structure used in the Amsterdam Hypermedia Model (AHM) will be
candidate. As a result, our RTM system is composed of three
basic structures: atomic component, composite component, and
Our RTM system is built using Object-Oriented (OO) programming
Delphi. In recently years, OO techniques have been involved in
multimedia, because of their many concepts, such as modularity,
extensibility, and software legacy.
