Due to the influences of the throttle valve and guide pin, the major features of the turbulent flow field in the inlet pip was composed of a wake flow, a recirculation flow region, a free shear layer, and a wall boundary layer. According to the analysis of mean velocity and turbulent fluctuation profiles, the flow was primarily controlled by the free shear layer and wall boundary layer in the near field.
