碩士 === 淡江大學 === 建築學系 === 84 === This thesis is an epistemological analysis of architectural discourse formationsin Taiwan in case of Pao-Teh Han in the 1970s.The aim of the historical writingis not a historical representation or composition of interpretation but to expose the modern architectural discourse in the Tunghai University case of Pao-Teh Han is just the discourse product under the process of the construction of colonial state in Taiwan.Thus,it'' s necessary to evaluate a critical analysis of discourse formations by the dissection of the new capitalist social order. Then,these modern architectural discourse as the DISCOURSE is not the historical subject but an process of knowledge practice from social context.
