碩士 === 台北市立師範學院 === 初等教育學系 === 84 === The purposes of this study are to understand the current situation of learning environment in Montessori kinder- gartens, explore the elements and contents of learning environment in Montessori kindergartens,and develop a checklist of learning environ- ment of the Montessori kindergartens.This study primarily adopts the case studies and employs the literature reviews,direct observation, interviews and on-the-spot investigation.The subjects of this study are three Montessori kindergartens in Taipei area. The results of this study are as followings: 1.The learning environment of Montessori kindergartens is open and free.2.There are seven elements in the learning environment of Montessori kindergartens.The elements include freedom,order,reality children center,social life,and and nature,beauty and atomosphere, Montessore materials.3.The principal contents of learning envorinment in the Montessori classroom are motor education in practical life, sensory education,arithmetical education,language education and cultural education.4.The arrangement of environment emphasizes beauty,reality and nature.5.Montessori teachers don''t design outdoor activities children on purpose. In addition to equip- ment of playground, the mals,rocks,and sky in the outdoor environment provide the unity of outdoor activities.6.The researcher develops a checklist environment of the Montessori kindergartens.
