characteristics by plotting the trajectories with a computer. In
order to do this, the methods used in this thesis are reviewed
briefly. The contributions of this thesis are that some of the
three dimensional boundaries of RAS (region of asymptotic
stability) are first obtained in this research work, and that
for a third order system the relations between the Lyapunov
function and the system trajectories can be realized.
