Chapter 1 "Introduction" : Application of "qualitative research" approach, conduct indepth interviews, collection of advertising media and relevant reports to analyze and understand methods of advertising media. Read relevant discussions related to sex/female, body and consumption to develop in-depth study using media, tools and space.   Chapter 2 "The Legend of Curve": Select currently recognized authority in Taiwan slimming institutions- Chung Heng International Group and Mei-Teng -Fong International Corporation-as subjects of study. Provide a brief account of the structural processes of "the legend of curve wonderland" through excerpts of interviews conducted.   Chapter 3 "Seduction of Virtual Reality": Study the effects of media on slimming advertisements , try to understand the plots behind TV and print advertisements and publicity, methods of photography, etc. Study the relationship of allocation of sexes in media, structure of mental image of body in media and the primary stimulants for female consumption.   Chapter 4 "Reification Body and Its Space": Tools used based on Foucault''''s "Discipline" concept of the human body and strengthen the "slimming myth" created by media. Divide tools involved in body changes of women into; Beautician-an authority in charge of controlling the apparatus and the female body, "slimming apparatus" and "slimming drugs" controlling the female body, Try to make a clarification on the characterlstics of tools and methods of controlling women.   Chapter 5 "Fiction Space by Aura" : Study how slimming institutions simulate imaginary space. Try to use Benjamin''''s perspective of reproduction and aura as a basis, discuss the policy problems encountered by slimming institutions in space structure through excerpts of interviews conducted. Try to understand real slimming space conditions from the standpoint of consumers as well as intend behind the desired appearance of slimming institutions.   Finally, a summary of the above chapters regarding the role of women in the Taiwan society as well as their daily life space, the imaginary visions made up by slimming institutions and the real situation of women in slimming institutions was provided to provide a verification of the differences that exist in its spaces. 陳其澎 李謁政 1997 學位論文 ; thesis 112 zh-TW
