Many scholar try use new science like fractal to solve the question. Some paper prove the growth type and extended development of a city is suited the principle which self-similar and scale-independent of fractal model. Base on the character of fractal city, this paper study the spatial structure of a city in Taipei. The boundary of study area in this paper take Taipei, use the satellite imagine of 1972,1986,1995 for the research. After class the building distribution of the city boundary, and processing the fractal dimension calculation of Taipei area. Base on the change of fractal dimension, we can understand the development of Taipei area. This paper uses the DLA model -- the application model of fractal theory -- to processing the fractal dimension and show the influence by density. As we know, the distribution of the city development are influence by natural environment and social limit. The analysis of this paper is using one-point model, two-point model and triangle model. One-point model is taking one development center of the city, analysis the changing of the extended of this development center; two-point model is analyzing the all boundary development model from one point to another; triangle model is extending from one-point model, can analyze the change from the development center to different direction and area. The result of the analysis, in one-point analysis, the boundary of Taipei in 1972 about 3.5KM, in 1986 is 6.8KM, in 1995 the boundary of Taipei over 11KM. It shows Taipei has a high development in 1995, the building area development almost becomes an surface situation. In two-point model, in 1972, 1986, 1995, form the change of the point of the development center in different area, we found the develop situation of Taipei in different period and the influence of social limit and environment to the development of a city.
