Injection parameters(injection timing, pressure and rate) in the injection process more straight affect combustion process and performance. Hence, the relation of injection parameters to combustion process require being realized so as to obtain heigher performance and controllable exhaust emissions of diesel engine. This project tries to change injection parameters matching engine speeds and loads for the purpose of investigating the influence of injection parameters on the engine combustion process.The reserch method is to construct injection mechanism to change injection parameters and measuring system to sample exhaust emission for the current engine. Experimental measurement are performent by changing injection parameters under engine loads and speeds. Cylinder gas pressure, fuel line pressure, needle lift, fuel consumption, air flow rate, smoke, , CO/HC emissions e.t.c. are recorded. Cylinder gas pressure, fuel line pressure, needle lift and crank angle data in multiple cycles are obtained by high-speed data acquistion system in short time. Then, these data are transported into computer analysis system by sampling conditionally; heat-release rate program of diesel engine are also established by considering ignition delay in spray combustion model emplemented into thermodynamic analysis model. The project is to investigate the influence of different injection parameters on heat release rate and exhaust emission under engine operating conditions .
